A House

Wow, I can't believe it is actually all falling into place. We will be meeting on Friday to sign papers and finally get a set of keys. YES, it is to a place of our own. YEAH! We are so ready. The kids keep asking when do we get our own room. I know they are ready to have their own spaces. I am very thankful we have had the last two years with my mom. But it is time for us to ventur on our own. We are truley going to miss having her right at our side at an emergency. But she will only be a half hour away. Not too bad.

We will paint this weekend, then try to move it all on Wednesday. Hopefully as planned we will be in before Thanksgiving. So then the rest of the weekend we will be unpacking and getting the house made into our own.

Emma has requested to have a room with peace signs. I am guessing the in thing now is peace. We have found a really cute bed set. She is in love with it. Guess Santa will have to get it. She wants pink walls. So here we go. Sure hope she enjoys the pink for a long time.

Cole wants a dallas cowboy room with Josh deere tractors. What a combo. I believe we are going to leave him with spider man. He wants a blue room though, so I think he will get his wish. We are going to paint it blue. We were talking with the kids the other day about moving into a new house. Cole being so innocent as he is, says "Does our new house have a chimney." We said yes, why. He said because I want Santa to be able to come and visit me at Christmas. Awww, he makes my heart melt. He is so stinking sweet. Not all the time, but for the most part. So yes, we have a fireplace and he told us that we can not burn the fire because then Santa will get burned. So guess we won't be using it, Lol.

I am extremelly ready and excited to be able to use my stuff. It has been in storage forever. Now it gets to come out. We have a lot of shopping to do. Paint to get, appliances to go order, beds to go order. Man what a busy weekend we are going to have, but it is all worth it in the end. We will be in our own home for Christmas! Thank you Lord!

Hope everyone is having an awesome week!

My Wonderful Husband!

I miss my husband! This time of year gets very hard for me because I don't get to see him much. He is very involved in band. I love him and he means the world to me and the kids. I hate that tonight we are not together at least in the same house. But once again that goes with the job. We live too far from his, and we are involved with Emma and the wedding. So there ya go.

Emma is involved in a wedding this weekend as the flower girl. Being at the rehearsal tonight reminded me of our wedding. Man, I can't believe we have almost been married eight years. Time really flys by when you are having fun and enjoying life!

This past weekend, we went and celebrated his 30th birthday. My mom and I surprised him with the blue man group. Man that is a awesome show. Who would think watching three men who don't speak would be so much fun. But WOW! We loved it and I am sure glad he had a birthday! On Tuesday, his actual birthday, we went and had dinner with his aunt and uncle and my mom. All he knew about was my mom going with us. So it was definitly a nice surprise to have his aunt and uncle there. We love them so much and really enjoy being with them.

It is hard to believe that we are both about to be thirty. I am beginnning to feel really old. Oh well, guess that comes with the reality of life. We have two children, which their ages make us feel old as well. Who thought we should be old enough already to have a first grader. Oh MY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSH! Glad you got to turn 30 before me, haha! I love you lots!!!!!

Trip to the museum with the Mapp's!

We had a blast playing with you Mapp Family. Glad you came and joined us over spring break.

When you go to the musuem, you have to have dinosaurs. So this would be the first thing we had to venture over to. The kids loved sitting in the foot print of the dinosaur. They are so big that the kids can sit inside it. The musuem was sooooooooooooo crowded. There were millions of people there. So it was moving around like bumper cars. Overall we had fun though. THANKS Mapp Family!

Here are some pictures from the big kids play room!

They have this really neat kids room. In this room, you can build, pretend to be a nurse or doctor, pretend to grocery shop, or play in the water outside. We weren't able to go outside since it was raining. But we have been back since and they love the outside unit. This room is the overall favorite of our children. I believe it is the overall favorite for every child. It is the most kid orriented room in the musuem. What fun times.

This is the tinker toy room. They have this really cool sand machine. You put sand on this wheel and it spins around. Then you can use tools to make different strokes on the wheel. There was a long line waiting to play on this cool toy. Also in the tinker toy room they had a shadow box. You go in this room with about six people and stand against the wall. Then this light flashes. Afterwards you can turn around and see your shadow. I took a picture of the kids, but they didn't really come out since it is a black room. Oh well. It is a neat exhibit though.

There are these rooms with things to do on the way to the tinker toy room. The kids love these rooms because they get to make things. So in this room, they are exploring with wind snakes and wind mobils. They also have spin tops that have markers on the end. These make neat circles with all the different colors. Then another table is a race car with markers attached to it. You get a remote to drive the car around and make different pictures. This happened to be everyone's favorite over all. Some other rooms that are available are making a movie, building different structures, and working on computers. Such fun to explore on your own.

There is an energy movie in the musuem that is 3D. Cole loves it and calls it the Dinosaur movie. We all had fun watching it. Make sure you watch out for the dinosaur spitting on you. YUCK!

Headed to the Muesum with the Mapp Family

We are headed to go enjoy the new musuem in Fort Worth over spring break with the Mapp family. They are a blast to hang out with. We had fun! As you can tell in Emma's picture she wasn't a happy camper. She has started pouting this year and giving us ugly faces. I sure hope she lives to see 7 years old, haha.

A Great Trip to the Fort Worth Zoo

By the time we got to the giraffe section, the kids were exhausted. They were getting whiny and ready to go home. We weren't finished though, so we continued to venture up to the lions. OH MY GOODNESS, there were millions of people up there. That is when we decided to pass everyone as fast as we could and go home. We didn't even get out of the parking lot and our little man was fast asleep. Man I love peace in the car!

This picture is for my hubby. He grew up on a farm and as a farmer's child. He loved it, but sure has turned into a city boy. I talk all the time about moving out to the country where it is quiet. He doesn't like that idea at all. He always tells me it is to far from everything else in the world. Makes me sad at times, but then glad at times we aren't stuck in the counrty as well though. I loved this picture and it was takend in the Texas section of the zoo.

At the zoo, they have this neat exhibit in the Texas section. While we were in there, they had to sit in the tunnel. Oh what a mess my two kids are, but a blast to have around at times even when I want to adopt them out.

We rented a two person stroller. That was the best thing we did. Cole is only three so he can't make it forever walking, but neither can Emma who is six. She eventually got tired and it was nice that she actually had a place to ride. Sure hope they have something like this at Disney World or we are going to be in big trouble.

The kids are sitting on this huge lizard in the new exhibit. They really liked it.

Over spring break, we decided to hang around the metroplex and do things here with the kids. We took them to the Fort Worth Zoo. Wow, there were millions of people there. Too many and we won't be returning there over spring break ever again. Hopefully anyways. The kids had fun. They are standing right here in front of the new exhibit. They had to go in and their daddy survived. He isn't a snake person, but he did survive the exhibit.

Amarillo Trip to see the Smith's and their beautiful home!

We had a great trip up to Amarillo in March this year. I am really late in blogging because oh my gosh has our life been CRAZY this semester. We left Friday night, but about midnight we arrived about two hours from their house and couldn't go any further. We were exhausted! So we stopped at a hotel in Childress. Everyone slept in a king size bed. We sure won't be doing that again. NOT AT ALL! Josh and I both felt like we were being slept on top of by two children. YUCK! It was hot!

So we got up Saturday early and finished our trip. We were so excited to finally make it and see everyone. Later that day, Heather and Jackie surprised us with going to the museum in Amarillo. Neither one of us have ever been there. It was a blast! Especially to go with the Smith family. THANKS for taking us. There were so many fun things to do there. We enjoyed it so much that we decided over spring break we were going to try out the new museum in Fort Worth. We loved that so much that we became members. When we finished the muesum, we went to the park and feed the ducks bread. I think the ducks were feed so much bread from everyone else, that they really didn't have a desire to eat our bread. Cole thought the bread was for him to eat. YUM! He is a little bread eater though. Then we walked over to the playground and played.

We had fun sitting and visiting with the Smith family. They have a great church. We got the opportunity to go to church with them on Sunday. We have a really hard time when we wait till really late to go home and then have to go to work the next day. Especially now that Emma is in school. So we left right after church. I hate that we didn't get to spend much time up there. Hopefully this summer we will get to see our niece Taylor and spend some much needed time with Heather and Jackie.

We love all of them!
