Josh's Birthday

Josh had a great birthday! We are trying to lay low this year in all the birthdays. We had dinner with my grandmother and mom. It was wonderful. Mom cooked Josh's favorite which is chicken fried steak. It was great, but a little much. Josh loved it and that is all that matters. For his birthday he got a radio for his Iphone and then Beetles rockband. Wow, the rockband is sooooooo much fun. We had a fun family night trying to play it. Trying is the best word, since we aren't really good at it. Oh well, we had fun and that is all that matters. Here are some pictures of the kids and Josh enjoying the rock band.

Karate Night at the Skipper House

One night we were sitting around and the kids starting playing karate. Josh found some caution tape, and the boys thought it was a good headband. So they both wore it around their heads.

Then Emma decided to show us some of her moves. She is such a mess, but oh she has been driving us nuts lately. I am beginning to wonder if it ever gets better. I am guessing we aren't the best parents and have a lot to learn. She is getting smarter britches, a mouth that is beginnning to tell stories and she calls it, and then starts trouble with her brother. I am going to start putting her on my prayer list everyday and hope that we don't have to deal with all of this when she becomes a teenager. Bless us if we do. So here are some of her moves.

A Day Out With Mom

The other day we went out with Mom. We had a blast. We went to the nail salon and Emma and Mom had their fingers done. Then we all had our toes done. It felt wonderful. They got a new chair that was just for little girls. Above the chair a sign hung princess. Yes, she thinks she is a princess. I guess she is, since she is really spoiled at times. Oh well, guess that is the fun in having a little girl. I love her! We love spending time with mom. Mom's feet are the really tan ones. Mine and Emma's are really white!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the great day MOM. WE LOVE YOU!

Elephant Parade

This is their plate to start with. It was amazing to watch them eat dinner. Wow, they have a major appetite. The clowns said they eat about 250 lbs. of food a day. That is a lot of food.

Tonight we went to the Elephant Parade by the Ring. Brothers. The kids loved it. We sat down at the end of the parade, where they fed the elephants dinner. The disney radio channel was there also and they were handing out prizes. Emma thought it was really neat because she got to get a poster of the Johnas brothers. OH MY GOODNESS, there are some girls that are crazy over those boys. They even know when they were born. Guess I am not uptodate with them.

Dallas Cowboy Stadium

Last Sunday we went to go see the new Dallas Cowboy stadium. We had lots of fun. Wow, what a place. It is huge inside. The only dissappointment was that we couldn't go in and see a suite. I really wanted to see what they looked like on the inside. We went to the bottom floor and looked in the proshop. WOW, they sure are proud of their materials. Emma tried the stuff on and thought it was fun to take pictures with it. We didn't buy anything.

I thought this was SWEET! One day we went and took Cole to have his pictures made. We left and were headed to go get a bite to eat. While they were walking across the street, they both decided to hold each other's hands. They aren't always sweet to each other, so I had to capture the moment.

Emma on the trampoline

We went to the mall to buy some glasses. While we were there, Emma found this place where you can jump on this huge trampoline. She begged to jump. So eventually we gave in. She had a blast, but man we are in the wrong business. They charge $7.00 for five minutes to jump. What a price. Oh well, she had a fun. That is all that matters. So here are some pictures that are attached.

Cole and his sister's shoes!

Cole loves to wear his sister's shoes. So one day he was running around in his night shirt and came out with her shoes. He wanted to pose for me as well. He thinks they are the best thing on this earth. I tease Josh all the time about his manhood, because his favorite color is pink. I think this is only because he has a big sister and thinks the world of her. So enjoy the picture. I love it!

Summer Fun

This is the crazy crew. We have had a great summer. It has flown by way to fast though. We are not ready for school to start, but oh well, here it comes. Only two weeks left before inservice starts. We have traveled to West Texas to pick up Emma. We got to see some friends from school while we were up there. It was a lot of fun.

We really haven't done much. We are currently living with my mom to save up some money for a house, that hopefully in three years I will be able to post about. We hope and pray anyways. So in the backyard we have a pool. The kids are loving it. Emma has learned how to swim with no life jacket or floaties. We are so proud of her. Then Cole wears his life jacket and swims everywhere. We have had a few friends over to swim with us. It is nice to have extra company around sometimes.

I took Emma to a place called Sweet and Sassy. Oh my goodness. I am in the wrong business. They charge and arm and a leg to just paint their toes and fingers and make them think that they are having a real pedicure. I was amazed at what they charge. Guess it is ok for a one time thing. I don't think we will be going back. I didn't take any pictures either. Totally forgot.

Josh and I got to enjoy some time away, it was just a night away in San Marcus, but it was a blast. It is so much fun to ride in a car with my husband, when I don't fall asleep on him. He will make you laugh and smile all the time. He is a great guy! We went to San Marcus and went back to school shopping. Oh my goodness, everybody in the world was down there. It was really busy, but we got some amazing deals. It was also nice to get away from the kiddos for a little while. We did miss them terribly. Emma appreciated us a little more when we got back.

Now we are trying to get ready for school. I moved schools this year. Awaiting a new adventure. I am ready. I prayed that God would open a new door this year since Emma starts school and he did. God does some amazing things in our lives. I let too much time go by where I don't thank him for what he does for us. So we are venturing to new stomping grounds and we are READY!

Can't believe our baby starts school. She is not old enough yet in our minds, but guess she is. I got tears in my eyes the other night when I was talking with my mom about her first day of school. Not too sure how it is going to work, especially since both Josh and I have classrooms ourselves. Guess this is where my mom comes in. What a blessing it is to have her around.

Hope everyone has a great rest of the summer!

We had a blast swimming with the whole family. All of mom's family came over for Aunt Debbies's birthday. We had a blast. Everyone swam and then mom grilled chicken. She did a fabulous job. Thanks everyone for all the yummy food. Then that evening we went to the park and watched fireworks. They were really good. The kids had fun.

Emma's Preschool Graduation

Emma's graduation went really well. She had a big crowd of family come. I was going to post some pictures, but the blogger isn't working right now. I will add some more later. Can't believe my oldest is going to kindergarten next year. Makes me want to cry.

Just wanted to share a picture of my cookie that I made for the graduation. I thought they turned out pretty cute. All the kids thought they were yummy as well.

Here is Emma with her two teachers this year. She had a great year in preschool! We are sad to think though that she is going to be going to kindergarten next year. Where have the years gone?

Memorial Day

We had a great final day on our trip to west Texas.

Thank you Heather and Jackie for the wonderful birthday presents. They were great. I had a great birthday with ya'll and sure glad I got to spend it with you. I am so glad we get to see ya'll often. Thanks for being a great friend and always around to listen.

We ate lunch at this wonderful Japanese steak house. It was very good. I loved it. We found out that they have one of these in Weatherford now. Wow, so close to home. Don't have to wait to eat it till we go to west texas. YEAH! The kids enjoyed the fire. Taylor got scared though. She was so cute and wanted to go to the restroom everytime he started to do something.

We went to the park with Heather, Jackie and Taylor after eating lunch. We had a blast and the kids got to run off some energy before getting on the road. We loved the picture of Taylor with her hair in the air. The kids loved the tire swing. Taylor and Cole got on it and loved chatting. I will make sure and bring you a copy of some of the pictures since yours didn't turn out Heather.

On our way home on Monday, we saw about twenty old time cars. They all stopped in Seymour where we stopped. We watched them put gas in their tanks. How weird to put it in the front by the engine. The kids thought they were really neat.

Memorial Day Full of Fun

Cole loved wearing my sunshades while they were taking pictures before the wedding. Then after the wedding at the dance, Cole loved hanging out with his Papa. Emma danced with Josh. She had a blast. She LOVES to dance all the time. Then she decided that she needed to pop Josh's suspenders. Guess after all that is all they are good for. We had fun.

Saturday morning, we went to the science spectrum. The kids had a blast there. They loved being able to touch everything. What a fun morning. Then we went and ate at Cheddar's for lunch! It was very yummy!

After we left the park, we went to Krispi Kreme donuts. They were making them while we pulled up, so we got to eat one right off the line. Oh they were YUMMY! The kids loved watching them make donuts. Especially Cole since this is his favorite thing to eat!

I think Joshus is a little too big for this swing. We all died laughing at him.

Emma loved the slide. Then Cole loved swinging. He looks like he has no middle in this picture. Emma wouldn't stop long enough to take a picture with me. But my sweet little Cole would.

Friday night we went to the park in Lubbock after the rehearsal dinner. The kids had a blast. My favorite picture of my three was the best! These three mean the world to me. The kids were looking through the tire and I thought it would make such a great picture.

On Memorial Day weekend we traveled to West Texas for a great wedding. We had a blast staying in the hotel with Leah and Don. They are so much fun to be around. We love them so much!
