Christmas

Yesterday at church, the kids from the congregation got to participate in the sermon. Ours were very excited. Cole was a Shepard and Emma was a shepards wife. I have not ever seen a church do this for a sermon and it was precious. Hope everyone has a wonderful and merry Christmas. Love y'all, the skipper family!

Parade of Lights in Fort Worth

Well we decided to go see the parade of lights with some friends. I had been out shopping since eight the night before. Cleaned up and we headed to Rosas to eat supper at 4:30. We should have gotten there way earlier because we needed to be at the parade earlier. So after supper we ventured towards downtown. Omg we hit the beginning of downtown and had to turn off every street and then re-route ourselves. I was ready to scream! I absolutely don't like traffic at all and I believe everyone that lives in the metroplex was here. Oh well, guess it was worth it for the kids. They had fun! We finally found a spot where they could sit up front and watch all the floats. Now we get to sit in more traffic while trying to get home. Ahhh more traffic. Here are some pictures of the parade and the kids.

Black Friday

These people are crazy! Guess I am part of them, but man they will knock you down for whatever item they want. I will do two more stores and then I am heading home to hopefully take a nap!

Spring Break

Well it has definitely been an interesting spring break. The week started off with Emma in the er. She had strep and another uti. So now we will head to specialist for her to see what is going on with her little body. She really felt bad for most of the week. Once she got well, we were able to play putt putt as a family. The kids loved it so much! Then we were able to go to the museum and play for a while. On Thursday, I got a day away with some great friends. Had a great time. But Thursday night was not too exciting. I got sick. Thought I was better Friday morning, but wrong! I woke up to another attack! So Josh, my wonderful husband, drove me to the er. Well low and behold I was having gallbladder attacks. So they did emergency surgery on Friday. Now I don't get to return to work until April. Man, why did this have to happen now. Oh well, will be glad though to know that I won't be having anymore attacks. Those things are terrible! So that was out adventerous week. Sure glad we decided to stay at home this week and not travel like we were going to. Hope everyone has a great week back at work!

Wow

Man I can't believe Emma is seven now and in a week Cole will be four. Where have the years gone? I am really sad that my little baby is growing up. I told him the other day that he is my baby and he clearly stated, "No Mommy I am a big boy." Aww that makes me sad. For their birthdays this year we decided that we wouldn't have a party because they both wanted a big item.

So Emma chose a tv for her room. She wanted a flat screen. No we are not putting cable in her room. But it will be nice when she wants to watch a kid movie and we are watching tv we can just send her to her room to watch it. Sometimes kid movies just are too much after a while.

Cole chose a John Deere Gator. Oh he is excited. His birthday is still a week away, but he got it early. My mom and brother went in with us to get his gator. Since Carter leaves us tomorrow to go out of the country we decided he could have it early so Uncle Car Car could see him drive it. Man are they having a blast outside with it today. Especially since it is seventy degrees outside. They have been out there since one. Hopefully they will sleep well tonight.

Speaking of being outside. We moved in November and we are loving our new house. We have finally gotten every room settled. We believe anyways. The garage is still a work in progress. We had our garage sale last weekend so hopefully we will be able to finish the garage off really quickly. Then we will be done. Josh mowed the yard today. Wow what a backyard we have. We are excited that we are going to be able to have some good times in the backyard that we will soon be able to call ours! YEAH! This summer is going to be a blast!

We have been really busy with work, especially since now I have a second job. That is ok though. It is helping be able to fund the toys that everyone wants. So that we can also live. Josh had a girl make it to state this year with all state band. She is extremely excited, but that means we will be traveling out of town for it. Thought I had the kids taken care of, but comes to find out my dad will be in town for that time. Guess depending on what happens with them, will depend on where my children go while we go out of town to San Antonio. One day the state will change where they host TMEA. I hope anyways!

Then two weeks later, I have to travel to Austin for a conference. Man, we have an extremely busy February. Hopefully life will slow down after that.

Speaking of my dad, I really need some prayers for him. He isn't the same man that we sent out of the country last summer! We are sad. Hopefully one day we will get our old dad back. I really miss that man! So please say some prayers for him.

Hope everyone has a great year coming up. We are ready for summer and to be able to enjoy our new house.

A House

Wow, I can't believe it is actually all falling into place. We will be meeting on Friday to sign papers and finally get a set of keys. YES, it is to a place of our own. YEAH! We are so ready. The kids keep asking when do we get our own room. I know they are ready to have their own spaces. I am very thankful we have had the last two years with my mom. But it is time for us to ventur on our own. We are truley going to miss having her right at our side at an emergency. But she will only be a half hour away. Not too bad.

We will paint this weekend, then try to move it all on Wednesday. Hopefully as planned we will be in before Thanksgiving. So then the rest of the weekend we will be unpacking and getting the house made into our own.

Emma has requested to have a room with peace signs. I am guessing the in thing now is peace. We have found a really cute bed set. She is in love with it. Guess Santa will have to get it. She wants pink walls. So here we go. Sure hope she enjoys the pink for a long time.

Cole wants a dallas cowboy room with Josh deere tractors. What a combo. I believe we are going to leave him with spider man. He wants a blue room though, so I think he will get his wish. We are going to paint it blue. We were talking with the kids the other day about moving into a new house. Cole being so innocent as he is, says "Does our new house have a chimney." We said yes, why. He said because I want Santa to be able to come and visit me at Christmas. Awww, he makes my heart melt. He is so stinking sweet. Not all the time, but for the most part. So yes, we have a fireplace and he told us that we can not burn the fire because then Santa will get burned. So guess we won't be using it, Lol.

I am extremelly ready and excited to be able to use my stuff. It has been in storage forever. Now it gets to come out. We have a lot of shopping to do. Paint to get, appliances to go order, beds to go order. Man what a busy weekend we are going to have, but it is all worth it in the end. We will be in our own home for Christmas! Thank you Lord!

Hope everyone is having an awesome week!
