Wow

Man life has been CRAZY!

Cole has finally learned how to potty in the toliet! YEAH! We are super excited. He can make it all through the night. Now we just need to master pooping. Well I guess that will come with time, hopefully anyways. He doens't want to wear diapers or pullups anymore. I have tried on a occassion because it is easier, but he clearly states NO! So there we go I guess. Just underwear.

Emma is almost in first grade. We had a rough start in the beginning. Made some changes throughout the year, and now she is doing wonderful. She is reading books, writing complete sentences, and growing so much. Can't believe we have a six year old. Seems like yesterday when Josh and I got married. Oh well, they do grow up. The other day she signed my brother's card for his birthday and wrote a complete sentence. She even sounded it all out without needing our help. We were excited. Such little things excite us around here.

Josh resigned from Chico. He has been looking really hard for a new job. We are considering going over seas to teach. We will see how all the pans out. Josh isn't too sure about it but the pay sure is nice. What a neat experience for the family as well. We did find out today that he has an interview with a school on Monday. It is a little further from home than we would like, but we will see what happens first. Only God knows what our plans are. Sure wish he would give me some insight on it though. Oh well, I am only along for the ride.

My job seems to be taking over my life this year! It is driving me nuts. Also girl scouts has taken over. Man I am SOOOOOOO ready for summer! Here it comes in 25 days! YEAH! I know have sixteen students. It is a really full class. Especially with three and four year olds. So summer, please get here soon.

We are all so ready for summer. In July we get to go to Disney World. Cole ask everyday if he can go that day. We have to sadly say no and there goes the fit. So he is definitly ready! I am ready to see the look on everyone's face when we go. I have been before but Josh hasn't. It is going to be like a little kid in a candy store when he enters the park. I am excited to get to share this experience with him.

We had a church fish fry at church on Saturday. They really should do that more often. Hopefully over the summer we will get to enjoy some more time with our church family!

Hope everyone has a great week! I hope to post some pictures this evening.

Bowling with LaLa and Don Don

We went bowling with LaLa and Don Don. We had a blast. They are fun to be around. We really miss them lately. Being so busy and not really making time to go see them. SAD! Anyways, we went bowling in Arlington at this really cool bowling alley called Alley Cats. They turn the lights out around the alleys and so you bowl in black light. The kids loved it. We will have to do it again.

Here are some pictures of everyone bowling. I bowled as well, but sure didn't want to post pictures of a fat lady pushing a ball down the lane. So no pictures of me. LaLa just hung out with us and laughed at us. Then we had fun just sitting and laughing and talking with her and Don Don.

Cole is getting ready to go push the ball down the lane. He is very independent as well and wants to do it all by himself. NO HELP!

Emma is here modeling her shoes and her silly face.

Life with Emma

A lot of things have happened in our life since I have last posted. Emma has started school. We can not believe she is already in school. Man, where does the time go. We feel really old to have one in school now. She loves it at times, then there are times it is really a struggle. Josh and I have struggled emotionally with the fact that we don't think she is getting the right education. We wanted to move her to another campus to help her be independent and them treat her as a student and not a teacher's child. That isn't happening because of some other things. I won't go down that road. It has been a really long day. But overall we are very proud of her. She has come a long way since she started. It is very hard for us to believe that she is six already. Emma is very head strong just like her mother. She doesn't have a problem telling you what she thinks. Not sure where she gets that from, ha ha. She is growing up way too fast and before we know it she will be grown and in college. I think at this point we really need to slow our lives down. We are so busy with her. In the fall we went and signed her up for girl scouts. Well they had about ten girls, but no one wanted to be the troop mom. So what does the sign on my forehead say, sucker. They saw me coming. So I talked with a friend and we decided we would do it together. So here we go. Wow, it has been one year and it isn't even over with. We have gone and gone and it never seems like we have a weekend at home any more. Girl scouts really keeps us busy. I guess in the long run, it is a really good way for Emma and I to grow together. We are having fun and that is all that matters. We just finished selling cookies. Man I am soooooooooooooooo glad that is over with. It was a pain in the rear end! Really! Emma was the top sales person out of her troop. Thanks to her PawPaw who ordered 120 boxes and sent them over seas with him to the soldiers. Bet those soldiers really enjoyed some cookies. We still have a few weekends where we have to do some clean up sales, but no more cookies just hanging out at my house. YEAH! They sure were yummy, but sure don't look very pretty on our tummy.

Cole "The Plumber"

I am way behind on posting on our blog. I took a three hour nap after school today so I am rested and can't go to to sleep. So we will see how much I catch up on.

Cole is such a delight to have around our house. He is calm for the most part, until he gets mad. Then wow, what has the devil brought us. He loves to help his Daddy with things. Wherever Daddy is being "Handy Manny." Cole is sure to follow, unless he is asleep. Cole is definitly all boy.

Here is another picture of Cole helping. He might be a plumber in the future. Who knows what God's plans are for him.

Josh's Birthday

Josh had a great birthday! We are trying to lay low this year in all the birthdays. We had dinner with my grandmother and mom. It was wonderful. Mom cooked Josh's favorite which is chicken fried steak. It was great, but a little much. Josh loved it and that is all that matters. For his birthday he got a radio for his Iphone and then Beetles rockband. Wow, the rockband is sooooooo much fun. We had a fun family night trying to play it. Trying is the best word, since we aren't really good at it. Oh well, we had fun and that is all that matters. Here are some pictures of the kids and Josh enjoying the rock band.

Karate Night at the Skipper House

One night we were sitting around and the kids starting playing karate. Josh found some caution tape, and the boys thought it was a good headband. So they both wore it around their heads.

Then Emma decided to show us some of her moves. She is such a mess, but oh she has been driving us nuts lately. I am beginning to wonder if it ever gets better. I am guessing we aren't the best parents and have a lot to learn. She is getting smarter britches, a mouth that is beginnning to tell stories and she calls it, and then starts trouble with her brother. I am going to start putting her on my prayer list everyday and hope that we don't have to deal with all of this when she becomes a teenager. Bless us if we do. So here are some of her moves.
